FAQs

Common questions

How long does ISO 14001 take?

Most small and medium businesses are ready in 3–4 months, depending on the number of sites and how much is already in place.

What changed in the 2026 revision?

The revision strengthens climate change, life-cycle thinking and the link to business strategy. We review existing systems and close the gaps before your next audit.

What does it cost?

A gap audit starts at $1,650. Our Certification Program starts at $3,000 per month and usually runs 3–4 months, plus the certification body’s own fees.

Does ISO 14001 cover EPA Victoria requirements?

It gives you a system to identify and meet them, including the general environmental duty. It does not replace any permit or licence.

Can we combine it with ISO 9001 and 45001?

Yes – many of our clients run one integrated system for quality, environment and safety.
